natural selection

a nursing home haunted by nature

A writer's resilience is tested when his child protagonist turns on the elderly. And the writer's grandma is first in line.

about me

I am a Dutch author living in Sweden. The main red thread through my books is that I like to weave real societal issues into fictional adventures.
Populism plays a big role in 'Oh My Gods'. My latest novel 'Natural Selection' evolves around the theme of sustainability, while 'Time For Sale' (launch: fall '24) includes an interesting take on conspiracy theories. For the fourth book, 'Best Before Date', the protagonist finds herself in the epicenter of a 'wokeness' scandal.

Gothenburg book fair

gothenburg book fair

Grateful for all the lovely encounters at the Gothenburg Book Fair (Sep 28 - Oct 2), I look back upon four days of enthusiastic conversations about books, writing, and life in general. It's truly humbling to go home with nearly empty boxes, but itĀ  was even more heartwarming to meet readers who'd bought and read 'Oh My Gods' and came back for more. Thank you!

I was also thrilled with the great interest in 'Time for Sale,' despite the absence of a physical book. The teaser tabloid, beautifully printed by Deko Sign in Holland, was in high demand.
