The challenge of this project is not only for Nolan to rescue those people from the inside out, but also for me to write the story from the inside out. The intention is to start midway through the story. While we follow the inventor of the dream-steering device in her experience of events leading up to this moment (in backward motion), it's Nolan's narrative that leads us forward to the story's end. So, at the end of the book, you'll learn about the inciting incident as well as the resolution.
